22 Weeks . . .and Spring is here!

Well so we thought . . . Jeff took my 22 week picture inside and then suggested we go into our front yard because the gardens are blooming! It was 76 and beautiful. Cooper and Prescott had gone swimming . . . yes spring is here! Not really, now it is one day later and it is 43 degrees and raining!! Miserable! At least we had that one day!

What About Bob?

So when I became a volunteer with the golden retriver rescue, Jeff said "we are NOT keeping any dogs! Period!". Well when the time came that I could short term foster a 3 month old puppy I jumped at the chance. Low and behold, the last night of the stay Jeff says "what if we keep him??" Who is the softie now? However, Jeff says if we were to adopt him his name would have to change from Prescott (the given name at the rescue) to BOB. Yes, Bob. Jeff just likes the sound of "Bob and I went down to the park." or "Bob wanted to play ball". So now the real question is "What about Bob??" New puppy and new baby??? We are debating!

21 Weeks and "Back off I'm STARVING!!!"

21 Weeks! Looking very pale but trying to get some sun outside with Prescott and Coops! It has been a pretty laid back week with Jeff only working 1 day! I am feeling Graysen more and more! Especially after I eat!! Enjoyed my first week of knowing the sex and let myself buy 2 Ralph Lauren Dresses (got to love eBay 2 for $10!!!) for her to celebrate! We also got an adorable purple pansy outfit for her from Aunt Sandra! Thanks Aunt Sandra!! The main topic for this week . . . decorating!! Grandmother Mary and I have been so excited!! Lots of pink and green and monograms . . . pictures to come! Jeff said he never thought he would be in Home depot mulling over pinks for 20 minutes!!
Cravings are happening all the time now( so much better then being sick though!) My love for Dunkin Donuts has taken on a whole new meaning. Jeff went on a "donut run" two nights ago and wanted to buy 2 donuts and the guy gave him a dozen because they were closing and I ATE EVERYONE OF THEM! well, Jeff had 3. Below is a picture of Jeff below for Graysen to see her daddy cooking Strawberry Ricotta French Toast for mommy!! Yet another craving!

20 Weeks and I love Airports!!!!!

These pics are from my 20 week mark with my fabbbbbbb little niece and nephew Chloe and Chase. Aren't they the cutest 2 children you have ever seen????????? I flew to Oklahoma to visit Kacee and the kids and had the best visit. Edmond is awesome and it was so great to visit with Kace and her mom! Next stop . . . Tampa to visit with Kathryn and her mom and do wedding planning!! Or so we thought. WORD TO THE WISE . . . never ever ever ever try to fly on a buddy pass around spring break.

Getting to Edmond was no prob . . . getting out was another story! After 9 hours of not getting on flights to Tampa or even home for that matter it was in the car we go! Luckily, Kacee was driving to Dallas that night to drop her car off at her mom's before heading on to Austin and their lake house. The Harper's and I decided Dallas was a much better try since it is a Delta hub and has a ton more flights. As Lady Luck would have it . . . buddy passes were prohibited on Saturdays and Sundays of that week (apparently spring break is worse then Christmas???? who knew). So after promising the Crawford's I would be ok they headed on to Austin and I camped out at their house in Dallas. 2 days of watching reality TV which Jeff hates!

Sunday comes along and the Harper's and Jeff check the flights (he got home on Friday early after being gone for 3 weeks!! That is about right though with this story!) and Monday went from being OK to fly standby to horrible!!!!!!! It didn't look like I would get home till Wed!! Which would be ok except I pregers, hormonal, starting to get cabin fever, and in a city where I no one. Plus, my big appt was tuesday AM!!!!!! The Harper's being amazing . . . said OK "we are just going to get a ticket!! You have to get home". Come to find out the only ticket available was a first class one that cost a million miles and then some!! But I was going home!!!! I was lonely, tired, and really bummed that I couldn't get to Tampa or at least home for 3 days!!

I wake up at 3:30 AM on Monday, meet my cab out front (who charged me 3x what they quoted on the phone), and got to DFW for my 5:30am flight first class to JFK!! I was going home!! I entered my confirmation code in the computer and it said "PLEASE SEE TICKET AGENT ABOUT THIS FLIGHT". Enter: mental breakdown. I go to the counter and they guy in front of me is not happy . . . he turns and faces me and I asked him what was going on and he said "they just cancelled my flight to JFK!". Enter: Tears!!! Seriously!!! Now I knew I was on candid camera. My turn at the ticket counter and i was still trying to hold it together because surely they would just put me on another flight leaving like 30 minutes later. No they say . . ." we don't know if we will even be able to get you out today, even with a first class paid ticket. We are so over booked to every route and so is every airline". Enter: a hormonal pregnant woman who seriously is wondering how many years in jail I would do for a hostage situation.

I say "when did you cancel this flight??????" and they say "10pm last night", I had checked the status at at 9:50 before I went to bed. I said "why wasn't I contacted?" and she said "we are so overwhelmed". She tells me I can try and fly standby all day as a paid customer and try to get on. I say OK. I then take my food vouchers they gave me and sit and sit and sit and eat and eat and eat. Stroke of luck (as I would call it that at this point) I got on a flight at 5:30pm. 13 glorious hours of sitting in the airport (not counting the time on Friday). I finally get home late that night and can't wait to go to bed for my big appt the next day. I am in the kitchen getting a drink of water and see we have messages . . . I swear to you . . . the first message was "Hello this is Delta airlines with an important message about your flight, please call us at . . ." left at 10:30 pm. Jeff never checked the messages. That is about right . . . Below is a picture Jeff took that night. pretty huh??
